Race Day

Today, Saturday, is Citizen Race Day at Red Lodge Nordic Center! The fun begins at 9:00 and events should be done by noon. Feel free to ski without racing, but be aware of when and where the race events are taking place.
We have new snow, well-groomed for your racing or leisurely pleasure, and sunny skies with moderate temperatures. Another great weekend for skiing!

Monday

This morning Curt touched up the Nordic Center and I groomed 5 miles on the West Fork Road. It's spring skiing again with temps in the upper 40's and the sun shining bright!
Skate skiers will love the West Fork...many miles of excellent conditions, some thin spots in the same old locations with gravel poking through. (The West Fork received 2-3 inches in last Friday's storm, which brought about 6" to Red Lodge and the Nordic Center).

New Snow!

The Red Lodge Nordic Center received about 6" of new snow Friday, and Curt has rolled and groomed the trails. Temperatures during the storm were in the low teens, and today we have sunny skies and temps in the 20's. It's an excellent weekend for skiing!
Don't forget our citizen races at the Nordic Center next Sat., Feb. 28th.

Happy Valentine's Day

Friday: Curt is grooming this morning, trying to smooth out some kilometers for the weekend. Skiers have been enjoying the good conditions, although the total K's are limited. Cold with a chance of snow is the forecast.

Moonlight

The Nordic Center was groomed yesterday, Friday, giving us about 7, 8 Km of good skiing for the weekend. Temps are predicted to be cool but thawing today with clear skies here at dawn. No new snow.

A ski clinic for beginners & intermediates, skate and track starts at 1:00.
The Feb. Moonlight Ski starts tonight at 6:30, featuring great chili. See you there!

Reminder...the snowshoe, ski, and dog area is closed for the season.

The Nordic Center received some wind, followed by warm weather since last weekend, and the forecast is for more warm days. Skiing is firm in the mornings and pleasant, spring-like conditions midday 'til sunset. We have little or no opportunity to groom in these temperatures but may be able to tune up the snow occasionally.
Join us for moonlight skiing this Sat. night, Feb. 7, 6:00 pm.
We regret to inform everyone that we are closing the dog-friendly ski and snowshoe area for the remainder of this season.
