It's quite easy to find sheltered trails at Red Lodge Nordic Center if the wind is blowing. And the warm temperatures lately make for a pleasant outing. Our snow is holding up in most places but there are patches that melt out and need constant filling in with this long spell of dry, warm weather. It is also difficult if not impossible to groom when the snow is warm.
So expect mostly good skiing with some rough conditions here and there.
