Yellowstone River – It’s all about the hopper! Grasshopper patterns are getting eaten pretty much all day. Try a bead head prince nymph dropper in the morning to increase your numbers.
Stillwater River – PMD’s in the morning, a yellow humpy or a yellow parachute will get it done. Fish are on the hopper in the afternoon.
Rock Creek and other small streams – Elk hair caddis, small stimulators and bead head droppers are the ticket all day.
High mountain lakes – Adams, elk hair caddis, streamers.
